| "Now there's an interesting planet other than Earth! A parallel universe of Earth, it's brilliant!" The Doctor walks around the tardis, talking to Poet. "The surface is literally made of a rich grass. It has to be..... the softest thing you have ever felt." He smiles and looks at Poet as he lands the tardis. Not waiting even a second, he puts on his drench coat and takes Poet's hand, pulling her out of the tardis. When they were out of the tardis, they saw a completely different planet. All sorts of different alien looking people passed him. The alien people all looked at least a little human, however, they were far from actually being human. The Doctor glanced over at Poet for a second before walking forward and looking around.
"Bu-Bu- What?" He frowns and looks around the place with a confused look. "This isn't the Alibina South Planet..." The Doctor walks on and puts his hands in his pockets. "This is the exact opposite of Earth....." He keeps walking. "We're lucky to be here Poet.... this is by far one of the hardest planets to come onto....." The Doctor looks around and ruffled his hair. Seeing something unusual mixed in with the crowd, he stopped talking and frowned. "What are they doing here....?"
The Doctor looks around at the people. None of them seem to notice or care. He ruffles his hair slightly, trying to figure something out. "I need...." The Doctor looks around, seeing more of the things he didn't want to see. He was so distracted by it that he could quite finish his thought. Not to mention that he had forgotten Poet was around during his moment of confusion. Yet again, he tried to express what he needed without being able to actually finish his thought. "I need....." Sadly, he was too concerned about all the lives to actually realize he wasn't making a whole lot of sense.... either way, he needed to figure out what he was going to do about this major problem.... or else everyone would die in different time zones....and it would be all his fault....

| The Poet didn't say much as the Doctor rambled on while they were in the TARDIS, instead busying herself with a button on the console. She was listening to his words, but only looked up in surprise when he grabbed her hand and pulled her out into this new place.
When they exited the TARDIS onto an alien street, the Poet was kind of amazed. There were so many different kinds of aliens, even more than she had seen in one place at one time, ever. A few of these species she had seen before, but the amount was overwhelming. "You mean you got us lost, more or less," the Poet muttered, glaring playfully at the Doctor. But her playful mood was cut short when she realized something was wrong- something had upset the Doctor. "What are who doing here? Doc, what's wrong?" Poet questioned. They only seemed to be stone statues, mixed in with the crowd. A bit of weird decoration, Poet guessed.
Why was the Doctor so freaked out?

| The Doctor glanced around, counting the statues around him. There were several of them around them and only more seemed to appear in his line of vision. They didn't seem to be moving even though no one was looking at them...there had to be a reason as to why. Weeping angels didn't just stay still and be good. It wasn't natural... it was too easy. Hearing Poet speak up louder, Doctor faced her and ran a hand through his hair. His tongue was touching the top of his mouth like it did when he was thinking. "Twenty stone statues.....And no one notices them....." Doctor sort of mumbled to Poet and himself as he glanced right to Poet. "We have a problem.... a serious problem." The Doctor rambled and pulled out a weird looking device.
The weird looking device had a little dish because what device was complete without a little dish? Flicking the small dish, the Doctor stared at it as if waiting for something. Once he had realized he didn't have his glasses one, he flicked them on with one sway of the wrist. For the next few moments, he messed with the small device in silence. "This is my little device that goes ding.... It dings when there is important stuff." He looks up, knowing Poet was going to ask what the device did. "The statues you are looking at that are all around us are Weeping Angels...." The Doctor puts the device up and looks around at the people. "Nonhumans that literally turn to stone when you look at them... but if you look away...." He slowly takes off his glasses. "Well... They come after you."
Suddenly, a statue moved and the Doctor looks over. He grabs Poets hand and looks her in the eyes, knowing one thing had to be said at a time like this. "Allons-y!" The Doctor pulls Poet through the crowd, trying to get away from the statue and to safety. He cared way too much about Poet to have her sent back in time. Besides, he had to fully explain everything so she would know what to do if something did happen.
After a few minutes of running, he pulls her into a building and closes the door, sonicing it. He inhales softly and looks at Poet. "The Weeping Angels are by far one of the worst aliens to defend yourself from... how can you fight a monster of stone? " He stares her dead in the eyes. "Exactly..." The Doctor inhales a little more. "You can't...."

| The statues didn't seem to be normal statues, as Poet listened to the Doctor say that they had a serious problem. When the Doctor pulled out a strange little device, Poet gave him a weird look. She was about to ask what the device did when he interrupted her thought process with the answer.
And then he said something that freaked her out. "The statues you are looking at that are all around us are Weeping Angels." The Poet knew that Weeping Angels were one of the most feared creatures, but she didn't know much about them besides the fact that they were quantum locked. No one ever wanted to talk about them, but the Doctor gave her all the information she needed. "If you look away.... Well... they come after you." he warned, looking her straight in the eyes after removing his glasses.
The Doctor broke eye contact when he noticed that an angel statue had moved. Poet was just about to tell him that they needed to run, but the Doctor looked her in the eyes, grabbed her hands, and said "Allons-y!"
The two of them ran through the crowds, running away from all of the weird aliens and the statues that moved. Poet glanced back as they ran along, just getting a glimpse of a statue that had looked peaceful before, Now it's mouth was open and teeth bared, almost daring the two to look away.
The Poet was relieved when they entered a building and he sonic-ed the door behind them. He said something about 'how do you defend yourself from monsters of stone?', and Poet was about to say 'You can't', but the Doctor took the words right from her mouth.
You have GOT to stop stealing my lines, Doctor," she said with a light laugh. "Also, I've heard legends of the quantum-locked aliens, but I've never known what they looked like. Didn't you stop them once before?" she questioned, looking at the Doctor. If he had, he would surely have some plan of defeating the angels. He always had a plan, the Poet had come to realize... well, sometimes they were her plans, she thought, smiling as she remembered some of their past adventures.

| The Doctor looks at Poet and was in the middle of ruffling his hair as he tried to sort out the problem at hand. "Stealing your lines? I don't do that.... well.... sometimes I do... well... occasionally... well... every other day... I suppose.... " He rambled and froze when he heard a loud banging sound at the door. Knowing it was the weeping angels made worry build up inside of him. He didn't want Poet to get hurt. The Doctor would never freely admit it, but Poet reminded him a lot of Rose; therefore, he cared about her a lot. Not like boyfriend/girlfriend, more like a close friend that you would call a sister. However, that could all change in a single mistake. This thought worried the Doctor. What if Poet got killed by his hands...? He could never live with another death... not after what happened to Rose Tyler and Meta...
Another loud bang caught his attention and well, held it. He quickly faced the door and ran to it, slipping his sonic right from his pocket with ease. The Doctor managed to scan the door frame before another loud bang caused him to stumble back. His face locked with a look of confusion and interest. He did enjoy adventure, but there was a reason he traveled alone. Death followed him like a cold that follows most people everyday. One single touch and you get it. Death was the same in the Doctor's eyes. One mistake (or one touch) and they (Poet) could die and it would be his fault. Feeling the worry hit the pit of his stomach, he gripped the screwdriver a bit tighter. Thirteen angels, ten minutes before the door gave out, and no way out.... he could do this... even if it was just for Poet....
Again, a bang at the door. The poor crippled hinges cracked more and more as the angels hit on the door to get in. The Doctor ruffled his hair a little, trying to think. His eyes went to Poet. He looks at her with a kind, gentle look, trying to calm her nerves. The Doctor runs to the other side of the room and soniced the wall in attempt to see if there was a way out. Sadly, three angels were waiting out there. He did this again and again until he was convinced they were trapped. The thought to explain it all to Poet did pass through his mind, but he shoved it aside. They were all after her and he couldn't tell her why because then she would be nervous. The Doctor just couldn't deal with it all so he decided to start talking.
"Okay.... We have two options. Which do you want to hear first, the long version or the short quickie one?" The Doctor blinks. "Quickie... that's a new word...and a new word that I will hopefully never use again. Poet." The Doctor faced her and walks over to her with a serious look. "Make sure I never say that again... right!" He puts his hands in his pockets. "I was going to give you an explanation.... but explanations are boring." The Doctor draws out boring as if to be acting childish. A different thought hits him and he seems to perk up a little. "But not to me of course. I love explaining things. It's like when you finally understand something that was once difficult to you before. Amazing isn't it?" The Doctor smiles a little, he seemed distracted... but at the same time enjoying himself.... it must have looked rather weird to anyone who didn't know him well..... or did everyone....?
